Oscar Palmér is a designer & developer

With an interest in accessibility and usability, he's trying to make the web a better place for everyone; he also dislikes talking about himself in third person, and spends too much time thinking about fictional characters

Yup, that's me – I'm Oscar! I've been tinkering with the web for more than a decade now, and I love it more than ever. It's really what pushed me towards bettering myself in all aspects of design and development, and because of this, between 2016 and 2019, I was an informatics student at Högskolan i Borås.

In the months leading up to the summer of 2019, I was primarily researching for and writing on my final thesis together with a friend. The thesis can be described as an exploration and evaluation of accessibility in relation to websites for institutions of higher education in Sweden

This August, however, I will be joining Botek as a systems developer and will hopefully be involved in many different parts of their software development processes – yay! 😄

I'm currently*

  • 📚 Haruki Murakami

I read Kafka on the Shore many years ago, and recently re-discovered this picturesque and bizarre author.

  • 🎮 The Elder Scrolls Online

An ever-expanding, online role-playing game set in my favourite fantasy universe… and there's so much to do!

  • 🎵 Mesarthim

Australian, atmospheric black metal, inspired by space; perfect for both work and relaxation.

  • 📺 Critical Role

Dungeons & Dragons, improv, and jokes with some of my favourite voice actors? Oh, I love it so much.

Well, I hope I'm doing any of those things… and if I'm not, I probably did within the last day or so.
